I was going through some of my old notes that I ran across yesterday while going through some old stuff to toss out. This is one of those notes from what someone had shared with me:
Something someone told me was that on the day before Elvis' last concert, Elvis was with some guy named Joe, Not Joe E, and they left the Stoffer (not sure of the spelling) Hotel. Elvis was always with his body guards except for this day.
They left the Stoffer hotel and went to the RCA offices, where they went inside to later come back out. They went behind a restaurant called the Huddleston on W. Washington (between market square arena and the airport). This is where he apparently met up with some FBI agents, along with Vernon. After this meeting Elvis was taken back to the hotel. During the drive he made some strange remarks. Elvis gave the driver a hefty tip. The next day during the concert, Elvis would forget some of the lyrics, but the band would cover for him. This is when he introduced his dad, Ginger and his band members.
It was reported that Elvis did not want to leave, he seemed nervous. People could sense there was something wrong.
