In his later years Elvis relied on numbers to guide him through certain situations, with the number "3" being important as far as alignment. The number "7," "God's Number," also intrigued Elvis. Some have said that Elvis used numerology to pick the ladies that would suit him best.
The strength of certain numbers ruled Elvis daily existence. Elvis'was infatuated with the number "3" and this meant an awareness that things either happened or came in threes, or other numbers that could be divided by three and conclude with an actual meaning for him. His favorite number, thus, became "24." Why? Because it easily was divided by "3," and also because many situations in his life involving numbers always seemed to add up to "24," intentionally or otherwise.
A prime example of this was the fact that by adding 8-16-1977 you arrive at 2001. The opening theme of "2001, A Space Odyssey" was used for all Elvis' shows.
DATE OF DEATH-8/16=24
The breakdown of 2001:
2+0+0+1 =3. 2001 -24=1977
Mere coincidence? Or was Elvis aware of the numerical clues tying in to his dates of death? Yes; the numbers told Elvis that the end of his time was near, which is one of the reasons why he was able to prepare himself and others for life without him. Elvis prepared for the future. He used numerology to help guide his course.
The irony of the number "8" with Elvis begins with his birth on January 8, 1935. It was also the date of birth of his twin, Jesse Garon. The double "8" adds up to "16," the date of Elvis' death. Both Elvis and his mother died in the month of August, the "8th" month. Elvis' life seemed to run in parallels with a famous movie icon, Bela Lugosi. Was it so very unusual, then, that Elvis died on the very same day (not the same year) as Bela Lugosi? Ironically, too, some musicians such as Jim Morrison, Ricky Nelson, and John Lennon, who all died tragically, were born on the 8th day of their respective months. John Lennon was murdered on December 8th. Could the number "8" be a target number for the famous?
Elvis was an avid promoter of numerology and made certain that many of his friends and co-stars were aware that existed and that lives could be determined, changed, or carried on all through the mystery of numbers. In all of Elvis' movies, it is noteworthy that there are numbers appearing in certain facets of each film, numbers that interestingly add up to the magic number of "24."
Another form of coincidence, should we decide to call it that, are reference to those same numbers found in Elvis' date of death in one of the last suits he wore on stage, the 1977 MEXICAN AZTEC SUNDIAL SUIT which Elvis would continue to wear in 1977 and wore at his last concert June, 26th, 1977.
This was a meaningful piece of material design for Elvis in that the sundial design had points, each of which represented a number.
The "SUNDIAL" JUMPSUIT
The outer points of the sundail symbol above, counting from top and clockwise, equal the number "16." The inner, smaller points equal the number "8," thus, the numbers 8/16, the month and day of Elvis' death. Coincidence? This suit Elvis had helped to design for wear in the last year of his life. I am sure from a clearer photo there may be other startling evidence found numerology- wise.
Did Elvis study the Mayan prophecies? Was he aware of the year 2012 on the Mayan calender and what it signified? According to Lord Pakal and his diary published in 1989, he was a resident of Hollywood at the time Elvis lived there and though never met Elvis in person while alive, mentions in his diary that a deceased Elvis appeared to him wearing the famed "sundial" jumpsuit and discussed with him this Mayan information and reincarnation, the latter which Elvis believed in strongly. Elvis believed his last incarnation on earth was as a Civil War soldier who was killed during the battle, shot in the groin where Elvis', strangely, had been affected since his birth. Elvis Presley was a profound, complex, highly spirited being. There was more to him than we have read about or understood, or heard from family or friends. Elvis compartmentalized his associations and kept his innermost feelings and beliefs in the appropriate compartments.
There are things of a spiritual nature we are only beginning to know about Elvis, things he knew and kept secret for a very long time.
We hope to explore these areas through Elvis own spiritual journey.
