I’m very proud of this HBO Documentary: The Searcher. Executive Producers myself, Jerry Schilling, Jamie Salter etc. This is a film way over due. It took four years for us to find the “right” studio to tell the true story of Elvis’ glory, his highs and lows, his frustrations, failed hopes and dreams of behind the scenes of his incredible music career until, Kary Antholis, President of HBO Mini Series, was enticed by what I believe is the definitive film on Elvis Presley’s music career. If you just viewed him as a Rock and Roll icon you will walk away knowing a much more personal side of what he had to cope with. You will have a greater understanding of the man we all fell in love with and embrace him even more.
Please take a look at the trailer.
The release date is April 14th on HBO.
Priscilla Presley
This three-hour, two-film presentation Elvis Presley: The Searcher focuses on the musical icon, taking the audience on a comprehensive creative journey from his childhood through the final 1976 Jungle Room recording sessions. Premieres April 14 at 8pm on HBO.
