Hi everyone, firstly I would just like to say what a great forum this is. I'm new to this and just wondered if anyone could help me? I'm a mega Elvis Presley fan and I bought every original DVD release of his movies as they was being released but then I would get rid of my original VHS/Videos. However over the last few years I've began to regret getting rid of my videos because thinking back they hold very sentimental memories for me, and as I've looked at my DVD shelf the DVD's don't seem to appeal to me because the cover artwork is not the same as the VHS/Videos and I don't end up watching any. This is manly to the covers, I remember as a kid the cover art used to really stand out to me and I would look at my shelf and pull a video out and relax, now this used to take place regular, but to be honest before last night I can't really remember the last time I sat an watched an Elvis movie and last night I watched 2.
What I have now started doing is finding full scans of the VHS covers that I had growing up and converting them into DVD format without them looking stretched and then placing them in the DVD cases. I've not been able to do all my covers, in fact the only 4 movies I've done so far is Viva Las Vegas, Charro, That's The Way It Is & Elvis On Tour to which I've inserted the covers in this post to show you all.
My aim is to do this with all of my Elvis movie collection and was wondering if anyone had any Elvis videos and be kind enough to send me full scans or high quality photos of the back, spine & front? It would really mean a lot to me in a very sentimental way.
Many thanks
CJ
