Elvis’ Letter to an Elvis Impersonator
Just less than a month before Elvis passed away he wrote a letter to an Elvis Impersonator named David. Elvis congratulated him on his performance and said that mimicry was the ultimate compliment to him, and an indication of being a real fan.
Elvis also encouraged him to “. . . never neglect his own special abilities to be himself also”.
